School and Group Fieldtrips (Suspended)
Fieldtrip - We always welcome individuals and groups to come to visit. By arrangement, we offer an
informed tour of our horse farm and how it all works, along with a hayride, and craft activity. People can learn about the horses, chickens, pigs, and various other animals which live here. An interaction area is available for people interested in getting up close and personal with small animals such as rabbits, goats and chickens. If you are interested in baby animals, mid-spring in particular is a great time to visit.
The activities for each group are customized according to the group interests. We are willing to customize services to meet the needs and interests of those who visit.
A group fieldtrip generally includes:
- 45 minute-one hour hayride depending on size of group and length of fieldtrip
- Educational farm tour
- Special interest related craft activity (time, space, materials and instruction provided). October offers a pumpkin for each person to choose and decorate at the farm, a cup of apple cider, and hay bales arranged for children to play on
- Time in the petting yard to visit, pet, feed (goat feed $1 more per person), and learn about horses, rabbits, a variety of chickens, and goats
- Sand arena for special group games
- Picnic and/or barbeque area
This is all included for a determined cost per person, subject to change if the fieldtrip is customized with other options. Cost for teachers and chaperones to go on the hayride only without the October offerings as previously described will be less.
